About Us

The California Children’s Hospital Association (CCHA) is a non-profit advocacy association representing the eight not-for-profit children’s hospitals regionally located in California.

Children’s Hospitals are the backbone of California’s health care system for pediatric care and they are devoted to making ill and injured children healthy and strong. These special hospitals combine compassionate, personal care with sophisticated, state-of-the-art technology to provide essential 24-hour care and services such as trauma, burn, neonatal intensive care (NICU) and pediatric intensive care units (PICU) to children from all counties in California and children with special needs from throughout the country and the world.

For over 20 years, the California Children’s Hospital Association has been advancing the needs of the State’s Children’s Hospitals through public and legislative advocacy. The Association works with State and national leaders in government and private industry to address issues impacting the hospitals’ ability to provide the best care possible to the children of California, especially those with special and complex medical conditions.

We can imagine a California where all seriously ill and injured children receive the care they need. IMAGINE WITH US. Please join us to help the millions of children who need California Children's Hospitals.

What We Do

Children's Hospitals treat children with the most serious and life-threatening diseases, such as leukemia and other cancers, heart complications, sickle cell anemia, diabetes, HIV, and cystic fibrosis. These hospitals provide multi-disciplinary health care to children from all counties in the State, as well as essential 24-hour care and services such as trauma, burn, neonatal intensive care (NICU) and pediatric intensive care (PICU) services.
