California voters will once again decide whether to pay hundreds of millions of dollars for hospital upgrades. This time, it's for the state's 13 regional children's hospitals. If approved, Proposition 3 would cover renovation and expansion with a price tag of $980 million.  |

State Prop. 3 would fund children's hospitals

Proposition 3 would authorize $980 million in bonds, to be repaid from the state's general fund, to allow the hospitals to expand, improve facilities and purchase medical equipment."This is the pediatric safety net," said Diana Dooley, president and chief executive of the California Children's Hospital Association.
